Find All the Parts @ www.MJmods.com
This Mod is for the larger Props and made with a SCH 80
Coupler and “extra thick walled” SCH 80 PVC. You could
do this with the coupler and SCH 40 with a test cap if you
wanted. You could also skip the part about cutting the lip
and make the pipe a bit shorter . This is just a tutorial of
how I make mine, feel free to adjust it to suit your needs.

A prop of your choice.
Super glue

Step One

Cut a piece of "extra thick walled" SCH 80pipe to 1 1/2"

Step Two

Move the table saw fence to just under 1/8" and set the
blade to about 1/8" high and spin the pipe on the blade to
make the grove.

Step Three

Move the fence so the edge of the pipe is on the blade
and lower the blade a hair . Spin the pipe again and
reduce the size of the lip.

Step four

Cut the notches so the pipe will fit on the MJ .Remove the
rubber seal ring from the MJ so pipe can fit on. Make sure
it fits

Step Five

cut the 1 1/2" SCH 80 coupling to 2 3/8"

Step Six

prime both the pipe and coupling. Glue and insert the
pipe. Make sure it is fully inserted and apply pressure for
30 seconds

Step Seven

using a pvc 90 and a piece of pipe, make a jig so you can
flip the pipe over and cut the slits evenly on each side.
shove the coupling on one side of the jig.

Step Eight

starting at 1 9/16" cut a slit on one side and flip the pipe
onto the other side of the 90 and cut the other slit. Move
3/8" and repeat. do this until you have the desired amount
of slits

Step Nine

drill the hole for the stopper about 1/8 inch below the top
and insert some acrylic rod that you have rounded off
(this step depends on how you want to implement the
stopper, if you are using the crossbar , you can skip this
step.)

Step ten

Super glue the Cap on

put a dab of glue on the center of the cap where the rod
is and you are done. You really should let it and the prop
shaft dry overnight . Some of the globs of glue will take
hours to dry and you don’t want to fall apart. I personally
use glue accelerator that almost every hobby shop in the
world sells.
