Step One

Remove the rubber ring from the MJ or this will be a
real pain. Using a dremel or another tool of your own
choice cut two notches in the test cap so it fits over
the round part of the MJ and the two notches .

Step Two

The circumference of the test cap is just a bit too
large to fit under the clips so you will need to shave
down the edges a bit so you can turn and lock the cap
on. After that, using a large drill bit or the dremel , drill
out a hole in the center just larger than the hole on in
the MJ.

Step Three

Cut a piece of PVC to the length you desire. The
longer you make it the more holes you can put in it for
flow but the shorter you make it the better it looks . Id
say between 2-3”.  Using a dermel or saw cut a couple
notches in the top of the pipe so it will fit over the clips
on the MJ. The notches need to be about 2-3 times
the size of the clips so the pipe can be turned and the
test cap can lock into place. Then glue the test cap in
place. When you glue the test cap on make sure there
is enough of the test cap exposed in the notch of the
pipe. The idea is that we can twist it and lock it under
the clips.

Step Four

Either drill holes or use a table/miter/chop/tile saw to
cut the nice little slits. If you choose to drill the holes
you can use a sewing measuring tape to wrap around
it and mark where you want them. If you drill small pilot
holes first you will have even better results. I obviously
didn’t measure my holes. Using bits made for drilling
plastic will make things easier also.

Step Five

Drill a 3/16” hole about 1/8” from the top and then
stick in about a ½” of the acrylic rod. This will stop the
prop if it goes the wrong way and send it back in the
right direction.

Step six

Put the little red cap on one end of the rod and
assemble it all. Glue the centering cap onto the pipe,
put a dab of glue on the center of the cap where the
rod is and you are done. You really should let it dry
overnight . Some of the globs of glue will take hours to
dry and you don’t want to fall apart. I personally use
glue accelerator that almost every hobby shop in the
world sells. This stuff makes it dry in seconds rather
than hours. I personally glue the hanging attachment
that comes with the MJ to hold it on the tank but you
could also glue the suction cup attachment on.
